For magazine the main ideology comes from the name. The name is also how you refer to it. It also plants the concepts, ideas, codes and conventions for marketing. To find a name, we sat and discussed a few and made ourselves open to suggestions from our fellow classmates. This also gave us time to research what is the best name to use for our magazine, so we made a questionnaire with a few listed names and suggestions with extra questions about what should be placed on the front cover, and double page spread and distributed them.
We distributed the questionnaire to 10 people.

Noting that we are making a movie magazine, it would be irresponsible to call it come on comedy. because not all films are of that genre.
So we will be calling our magazine Film Weekly.

Empire is a British film magazine that has been established since January 1989.
It is the biggest selling movie magazine in Britain. Empire is also published in Australia, Turkey and Russia. The magazine is owned by Bauer Media Group, A large institution which has been established since 1875. The Film Magazine also constantly outsells its biggest rival Total Film.
It also has regular features such as Film News, Reviews and Previews. Also has a regular feature of top ten. (E.g. Top Ten Film Gags.)
Total Film is a British film magazine that has been established since 1997. It publishes 13 issues a year. The magazine is owned by Future Publishing, Another Large institution which has been established since 1985 specially for the media. The magazine offers a variety of contents such as; DVD News, Film Reviews, and Special Features. It is the second biggest selling film magazine in the UK after Empire.

New Line Cinema is one of the major American film studios, It was founded in 1967. It was previously an independent film Studio, and then joined as a part of Warner Bros in 1996. It is still currently producing and distributing films. It has had many successes such as The Lord of The Ring Trilogy. The Lord of the Rings trilogy brought commercial and world wide successes to the company and brought in a gross revenue of $ 2,915,155,189.
Columbia Pictures is an American Film production and distribution company founded in 1919. Columbia Pictures now forms as a part of Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group which is currently owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment. It is a leading Film Company, Part of the 'Big Six'.
