Analysis~ Poster & Film Magazine

To make our Poster, Magazine cover we would have to analyse some to have a better understanding of how ours should look. We all decided to choose a variety of posters including the one of the comedy genre and to see what kind of attraction methods is used in each one how the comedy poster looks by seeing what materials, angles and shots they use. By analysing we could also see the different types of ideologies, codes and conventions that the editors and creators had in mind when producing, distributing and marketing.

I had analysed a Korean Comedy Film Poster, because we could then see what comedy is like in different cultures.

I had analysed a Thriller Poster, because the codes and conventions used seem interesting, By analysing and annotating I could see what kind of ideology the creators had and perhaps apply some to our poster.

The people displayed are of equal size therefore they must be worth the same to the movie.
Their importance of their roles are significant.

because we could see the types of images, codes and conventions they used to display certain films and products.
EXTRA ANAYLSIS*
The picture of the actor is of Mid range shot, Including his whole body but also some surrounding of a jail. This adds interest to what type of character he may be and what is his involvement with the magazine and film they are portraying.

I had analysed another Magazine Cover of Empire's,
because we could see the types of images, codes and conventions they used to display certain films and products.
This magazine cover is recent so therefore we can see the changes made between the previous empire magazine cover and this recent one.
EXTRA ANAYLSIS*
The photo is a close of a strange blue creature, This is clearly connected with the film called ''AVATAR'' which is below the photo. The Pure un-natrualness of the photo would catch a few audiences attention.

I had analysed a Magazine Cover of Total Film's, because we could then see the different ideology, codes and conventions between Empire and Total Film. I could also see what areas they are focusing on and possibly see what could apply to our magazine when the time to create it comes.

Out of interest I decided to also analyse a double-page spread. By analysing I could use these conventions and ideologies of the magazine cover. The double page spread will show me what the contents inside of the magazine are and how and why they are advertised on the front cover.
